What is Solar Thermal Power?
Solar thermal power generation refers to producing electricity using the heat from the sun. There are mainly four key components in solar thermal power generation: collectors, heat exchangers, turbines, and generators. Among these, the facility method using solar thermal collectors converts the sun’s radiant energy into thermal energy, providing heating and hot water without using fossil fuels. This can save on heating and hot water costs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

System Configuration
- Collector Section: The part where solar thermal collection occurs. The collector temperature is determined by the thermal loss rate of the collector and the presence or absence of concentrating devices.
- Storage Section: A heat storage tank required for acting as a buffer due to the mismatch between the timing and amount of heat collection and the timing and amount of heat demand.
